Zito Luvumbo also participated in Cagliari's return to training this afternoon at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini. The Angolan striker completed the entire session with the group, a sign of his full recovery. He suffered an injury during the Angolan international break, a low-grade strain to the adductors in his right thigh that kept him from playing against Parma, Lecce, Frosinone, and Inter. He will be back in the squad for Sunday's 12:30 PM match at Udinese.
Luvumbo will then go back to the national team, because Angola has called him up for the two matches in October : Wednesday 8th at 3pm away to Swaziland and Monday 13th at the same time away to Cameroon, in the World Cup qualifiers where his team is rather behind in Group D (fourth place with 10 points, -5 from second place Cameroon and the October qualifiers are the last two matchdays).
This afternoon, after warming up in the gym, the Cagliari players performed a technical session and ball possession work on the pitch. This was followed by a practice match played in small spaces and an aerobic session for the Rossoblu players who were less used in Saturday's match against Inter. Three of the four injured players (Nicola Pintus, Boris Radunović, and Gabriele Zappa) were given personalized training , while Andrea Belotti will decide in the coming days where to undergo surgery following a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Tomorrow morning training. The Sports Judge fined Cagliari €4,000 because, during Saturday's match against Inter, various objects, including a lighter, were thrown onto the pitch .
