For Cagliari, after their penalty shootout victory over Virtus Entella, the countdown to their Serie A debut next Sunday against Fiorentina (6:30 PM, again at the Unipol Domus) has begun. But the final rush of the transfer market is also approaching, with the winter session closing on Monday, September 1st at 8 PM. Among the incoming players, a central defender is likely (Marash Kumbulla, who went to Mallorca, has passed away; there are a couple of options in Italy and Argentina) and a left back (the only one currently available is Riyad Idrissi, fresh from his debut) , but some outgoing moves are also expected. And one player who could leave in two weeks' time is Zito Luvumbo , despite starting yesterday.
French club Toulouse had expressed interest in the Angolan in recent weeks, but their offer of around €3 million was deemed too low . Now, his name is being considered not only abroad but also by several Serie A clubs: Bologna, Parma, and Roma are interested . All three are looking for an attacking reinforcement, and Luvumbo could be the right choice at the end of the transfer window.
On the outgoing front, Davide Veroli's transfer to Palermo is nearing completion . The Rosanero have also expressed interest in goalkeeper Boris Radunović , but in the end, the only option between the posts is free agent Jesse Joronen. For the Serbian, still in Serie B, there is the option of Sampdoria. Finally, a possible unmissable offer for players like Adam Obert, Roberto Piccoli, and Nadir Zortea is being considered: Bologna, Fiorentina, and Torino remain interested in the latter.
