Iride Peis Concas is the winner of the "Donna Sarda 2023" award assigned by the municipal administration of Cagliari.

The award ceremony of the recognition, conceived by the Lions Club Cagliari Lioness and now in its 36th edition, was held on the occasion of Women's Day in the Council Chamber of the Palazzo Civico in via Roma.

With her publications inspired by the world of mining , Iride Peis Concas, who has dedicated her professional life to the role of primary school teacher, has given her reading to life in the mine. Well known by her for having lived in Montevecchio with her husband, doctor of the largest mine in Europe. Sufferings, difficulties, deprivations, have been touched by the author who wanted to bring to the fore, especially from the point of view of women, what was happening in the mine.
