Inflation down in Cagliari for the second consecutive month, after more than a year of increases.

After the -0.2% recorded in March, in the latest survey, relating to the month of April, the cost of goods and services in the capital marks -0.3% , in contrast with the other regional capitals - with the exception made for Ancona and Genoa – where, on the contrary, prices recorded increases of up to +0.8% (Naples), for a national average increase of +0.4%.

In Cagliari, the decline comes, as mentioned, for the second consecutive month after the long series of price increases that characterized all of 2022 and also the first months of 2023, also reaching peaks of 3.5% (last October).

But if the month-on-month cyclical variation points to a decline, the year-on-year variation is still significant. Compared to April 2022 in the capital of Sardinia, prices have in fact risen by 7.8%.

The national average of price increases is +8.2%, with peaks in Genoa and Palermo, where year-on-year increases exceed 9%.
