«On 8 and 9 June we will be the big surprise of these municipal elections». Giuseppe Farris, candidate for mayor of Cagliari with CiviCa2024, loads his fans. He does it in Marina Piccola, at Poetto, on a day that feels like summer, while presenting the program for the city and the team of 34 candidates for the City Council.

«We have built a strong and authoritative list, where half of the members are women», she says.

Inside there are entrepreneurs, lawyers, psychologists, pensioners, professionals, students, and representatives of productive activities. «A representative list of the city and all its neighborhoods».

It is no coincidence that "The city of citizens" is the mantra of the lawyer Giuseppe Farris' CiviCa 2024 program: "An alternative program to the policies implemented in the last decade by successive administrations". This is an important step because it serves to reiterate a concept expressed several times in recent weeks: "No alliance with any party because they are all linked to those policies with which we are in total discontinuity."
Safety, road conditions, traffic, cycle posts, remodeling of the waste collection system are the central themes on which CiviCa 2024 intends to work once it arrives at the helm of Palazzo Bacaredda. «We carried out a major listening campaign with over ten thousand Cagliari residents and these are the main themes that emerged. It is from the needs of citizens that we intend to start."
The other great challenge is Pirri: 30 thousand inhabitants, with «a Municipality without resources and without powers that is in disarray. There is no longer a section of the municipal police, there is no longer a medical emergency service. Pirri must be treated with more respect. We also put this challenge at the center."
