Cagliari says goodbye to Sulemana once and for all and welcomes the three new signings Zortea, Piccoli and Adopo.
In a statement on its website, the club recalls the "precious contribution" offered by Sulemana towards achieving salvation, thanks him for his "dedication and professionalism" and "wishes him the best" for the rest of his career.
Then he moves on to the three new signings, starting with Zortea who signed a four-year contract that ties him to the Sardinian club until 30 June 2028. «Employed mainly as a defensive lateral on the right – he explains -, thanks to his excellent running skills and tactical diligence Zortea can be deployed across the flank, also covering the role on the left. To his athletic skills he adds technique, vision of the game, dribbling and insertion skills, qualities that allow him to be a constant support for his teammates in the advanced department, served with frequent crosses, or to stubbornly finish on goal."
With Adopo (loan with right of redemption), "reactivity and power" are added to the rossoblù engine. «Imposing size, 187 centimeters tall, Adopo is a midfielder who, thanks to his qualities, can be used both internally and centrally. Dominant in aerial duels and tackles, he combines his great physical strength with technique and insertion ability, thus making his skills count even in the offensive phase", he writes.
Finally Piccoli, also on loan, defined as "among the most promising young players in Italian football". He remembers the numbers, 13 goals in 97 matches in Serie A, 12 in 46 with the national teams under the Azzurri. And he defines him as a "physically strong" attacker, 190 centimeters tall, good both on the bank and at opening spaces for his teammates. Offensive point of reference, innate sense of goal, combines ability in the air with good basic technique, power and agility."
