The restoration work had disturbed their peaceful sleep but now, for the “Sleepers” by Mimmo Paladino , peace has returned. The works of the famous artist, positioned in the center of the large pools that decorate the entrance to the Galleria d’Arte in Cagliari , have returned to their maximum splendor, after the removal of the construction site protections and the activation of the two bodies of water.

The sculptures, which represent human figures in terracotta that appear to be resting , are now back in full use by visitors to the green space.

"The completion of the maintenance work on the Dormienti allows the recovery of the visual decorum of the Public Gardens, thanks to the removal of the construction site protections and the restoration of the functioning of the water tanks", commented the councilor for Urban Ecology, Environment and Public Green Luisa Giua Marassi.
