"Hello Cagliari fans, I'm here to tell you that I will no longer be part of Cagliari Calcio". This is how Tommaso Augello began his farewell, the day after his contract with the rossoblù expired, to his now ex-supporters at the end of the two-year period spent in Sardinia, which ended with 74 appearances between Serie A (70) and Coppa Italia (4). For him, a new experience is now starting, which will probably be Palermo in Serie B.

"As you well know, I have always expressed my desire to stay here in Cagliari with you but the club has decided to make another choice" , Augello reports in a video published on his social media accounts, underlining how the choice was the club's ( president Tommaso Giulini had anticipated it, in last Thursday's press conference ). "I would like to thank you for these two wonderful years: you have always been close to the team. I would like to thank my teammates, a truly united group with whom I had a great time. I would like to thank all the people who work for Cagliari, without forgetting anyone, I would like to thank the coaches Claudio Ranieri, Davide Nicola and their staff".

Augello concludes: «We have spent two really intense years, with many difficulties certainly but always reaching our goal. I would also like to thank the management and the company for these two years spent in Cagliari: a hug to everyone and a greeting ».
