New appointment Thursday 19 June, at 19, with the forty-ninth edition of the Concert Season organized by the association Amici della musica di Cagliari : after the successes of the previous evenings, the Carmen Melis theater in via Sant'Alenixedda is ready to host the concert of the pianist Alfonso Alberti . Internationally renowned pianist, writer and radio host: Alfonso Alberti will bring all his talent to the theater that has become the Cagliari home of chamber music, to give life to a concert that will allow the public to listen to the works of composers of the caliber of Bach, Schubert, Ligeti, Vacchi and Schumann.

Born in 1976, protagonist of an intense activity as a pianist in Europe and the United States, Alfonso Alberti made his debut in the Sala Verdi of the Verdi Conservatory of Milan at just 17 years old, a springboard for a long artistic career that has led him over the years to perform in prestigious theaters such as the Konzerthaus in Vienna and the Lacma in Los Angeles, and to collaborate with conductors of the caliber of Gustav Kuhn, Tito Ceccherini, Arturo Tamayo and Yoichi Sugiyama. During his career, Alberti has held concerts with prestigious musicians, among which the names of the flautist Pierre Yves Artaud, the percussionist Maurizio Ben Omar, and the trombonist Barrie Webb stand out. In addition to having made numerous solo and chamber music CDs and having written books, Alfonso Alberti is committed to the dissemination and promotion of the music of the last century, with a repertoire that ranges from the historical avant-gardes to the youngest composers. Since 2017 he has been one of the hosts of “Lezioni di musica”, a program broadcast on Radio 3.

Alfonso Alberti tells what the audience will be able to hear during his concert : «I will present to the public what I will then perform, I like to introduce the pieces and talk to the public about the work. The program that I will perform on June 19 combines some pieces by Schubert, Bach and Schumann from the piano tradition that goes from the Baroque to the Romantic period, to other much more recent ones. Worthy of note is the fact that for the first time in the world, “Novelletta seconda” by Fabio Vacchi will be performed, the work was given to me directly by the composer, and I was able to prepare it with him: a novelty that will give prestige to the event. I often love to mix contemporary music with that of the great classical romantic tradition, I believe that the great repertoires benefit from it. For me it will be a great pleasure to play in Cagliari, in this beautiful theater». With the concert on June 19, the summer program of the long program of events organized by the Friends of Music of Cagliari comes into full swing: the next concerts will be held on July 10, with the Quartetto Adorno; and July 17, the day when, thanks to the Bizzarria Ensemble, chamber music lovers will be able to listen live to Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
