“Cabudanne de sos Poetas” reaches maturity: he turns 18 and still wants to amaze the world with his artistic, literary, poetic and musical proposals.
From Seneghe , a small village in Montiferru, the International Community Literary Festival has taken off, becoming a reference point for the whole of Europe with the participation of writers, poets, historians, journalists, artistic performers and musicians of many nationalities.
From 27 August to 4 September the September of Poets with a special dress for the majority: the theme is "The ability to act".
“Cabudanne will try to deepen the theme of acting in verse, images, visions and sounds. And he will give the word to those who have none, to the least, to those who still hope. Poetry to give a faint light, or a little courage to look inside ourselves, at things, and reflect on what happens in the world around us. The word that asks to be said belongs above all to young poets and young poetesses, to whom the Senegese poetry festival always gives a lot of space and attention ”, explains Luca Manunza , president of the Perda Sonadora association that organizes the festival.
A week full of poetry, literature, arts and debates on current issues and problems in the world of territorial culture, in the suggestive Giardini de Sa Prentza de Murone and the historic center between Domo de sa Poesia at Casa Addis, the Municipal Library, the Bar da Angelo and Piazza di Santa Maria.
Over 70 guests for 45 appointments and many possibilities to rebuild an organic fabric of relationships, actions and friendships.
"It is precisely the 18 years of the festival, combined with the problems of the context and the socio-political phase that we live as a community, that pushes us towards direct and urgent action: to take action and act collectively immediately for the improvement of our lives and of the territory we live in ”, adds Manunza.
A heartfelt tribute to maestro Franco Loi , the great poet and essayist, first artistic director of Cabudanne, friend and honorary citizen of Seneghe since 2010, who died in January 2021 at the age of 90. In his memory the meeting “Franco Loi. Masters ”, curated by Davide Ferrari . Ferrari is a poet and friend of Cabudanne, known for his production focused on the particular use of the Lombard dialect, on the occasion of the official presentation of the festival on August 30th at 9.30 pm at the Giardini de Sa Prentza de Murone . Ferrari dedicates the final text of the collection to Franco Loi, his great teacher, a poet who loved roses and who dedicated more than one composition to this flower.
