The analysis of the research office of the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari has analyzed the dynamics of Sardinian companies in 2024. Sardinia is ranked ninth among the 20 Italian regions, with a growth rate of 0.24% , which is significantly lower than the national average of 0.62%. This positioning indicates that, despite there being a positive balance between registrations and closures of companies (+416), the region is growing at a much slower pace than most southern regions .

The difference between the performances of the various Sardinian areas is marked. The entrepreneurial system of the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari stands out for its liveliness that is clearly superior to that of other territories , ranking sixth among the 105 Italian chambers of commerce . A result supported by a positive balance between registrations and terminations (+759) and a growth rate of 1.38%, which reflects a solid and expanding entrepreneurial dynamic.

On the contrary, the territories of the Chambers of Commerce of Cagliari and Oristano show decidedly negative performances.

In 2024, the North recorded a growth rate of 1.38%, higher than Sardinia's 0.24%. This confirms a trend that has seen higher rates in the north of the island since 2018. The performance is mainly driven by the north-east, in particular the Gallura area, which achieved a very high growth rate of 2.30%. This exceptional result reflects the economic vitality of this area, mainly linked to sectors such as tourism and effective management of territorial resources. Even the north-west, albeit with a more moderate growth rate (+0.74%), still recorded a positive result, higher than the regional average and that of the other territories of the island.
