There is no peace for the Sardinian countryside, already dealing with a dry autumn and early winter which, between the center of the island and the lower Gallura passing through the Baronia, have already led to heavy restrictive measures for the 'irrigation.

The last tile is linked to yet another bureaucratic hitch linked to the disbursement of European contributions linked to the CAP, the Common Agricultural Policy, recognized in all EU countries for the primary sector . «With the sixth Refresh, Sardinia has already given enough», Coldiretti reports in a press release. «The new satellite control tools must replace the activities on the CAP and this will avoid delays in payments. In the meantime, today, it is necessary to speed up payments to companies and, for this reason, we ask for guarantees so that the money is paid immediately for the procedures that are in order and that the remaining payments are guaranteed by February ."

«The issue has already been addressed in the past by Coldiretti in previous years - recalls the agricultural association - and in the first two programming cycles, those which had created the greatest problems, it was demonstrated that in a few weeks the problems had been resolved on the based on this experience we are in a position to say that alarmism is not justifiable even if now we have to accelerate".

As clarified by the regional agency Argea, 10 thousand applications are suspended, approximately 30% of the total. Of these, 90% can be resolved in a short time, as data from the national agency Agea on particles will arrive . «For this reason», writes Coldiretti, «we ask that these have a high priority and that payments be organized today to be ready when the problems are resolved. Already since the end of November we have been working to proceed with payments to the companies of the balances and to resolve the problems that affected the pastures and the results of the Refresh - specifies Coldiretti Sardegna - in this the Coldiretti CAA offices are also ready and ensure, as always , the activity necessary to support paying bodies for any activities to correct company practices, in order not to exclude anyone".

In any case, Coldiretti Sardegna «urges the paying agencies Agea and Argea for a speedy management of the last Refresh which allows the complete disbursement of the balance of the single application for 2023 and the submission of aid applications for 2024». Finally, Coldiretti Sardegna urges the regional paying body «to assume the burden of carrying out extraordinary payment decrees in February and, if necessary in March, to allow the settlement of the balance of all applications at the same time we hope that with the introduction of satellite monitoring and with constant controls of the territory, this current year is the last year of Refresh".
