Renting a scaffolding during this period? “As easy as buying alcohol and Amuchina during the first lockdown”, that is, not at all. And it is one of the comparisons that reflect the delicate moment that the construction sector in Sardinia is experiencing. “We have difficulty in finding many materials for construction sites - explains Francesco Porcu, general secretary of the National Confederation of Crafts - And in some cases the prices have doubled”.

Companies and associations, therefore, have to resort to international channels, with scaffolding brought in from Eastern Europe. These are some of the consequences of the concessions aimed at supporting the sector which has almost 50 thousand workers and more than 23 thousand companies, the downside of the 110% Superbonus or that relating to facades.

In the past two years, turnover is estimated to have grown by 36 percent, and the surge was so sudden that it prevented companies from meeting demand. Construction sites and scaffolding sprout up in all the cities: “It was clear that such a strong demand would have displaced the supply capacity of companies. But it is not the only complication - adds Porcu - because in recent weeks the new regulations have introduced sand into the bureaucratic mechanisms, which had already struggled to be standardized and normalized ".

To combat tax frauds attributable to the trade in tax credits, government pressures have arrived, yet another: in 20 months there have been 9 regulatory changes, one every two months or so. Difficult to keep up with the changes.
