Sabato Burcei remembers his great dialect poet Raffaele Urru , who died thirty years ago. Appreciated by all, "Fieli Urru", as it was called, performed in the squares of Sardinia with his harmonious voice and the delicacy of his words on a thousand themes, often linked to the problems and beauties of the island.

His cantadoris colleagues will remember him with the improvised singing of which he was a great teacher. The initiative is promoted by the cultural association "boxis campidanesas". About twenty improvisers in the square.

A large mural is also dedicated to Raffae Urru in the town, so that the figure and work of the poet continues to be preserved and preserved over time.

Raffaele Urru died at just 61 years of age in 1992 .

In 2002, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his death, a memorial was also dedicated to him with the participation of the impromptu poets Pasquale Sanna di Burcei , Antonio Pani di Quartu, Emanuele Saba di Terraseo and Eliseo Vargiu di Quartucciu.
