Quoting the song of the Boss, it can be said They're on fire: the band Lazyboys passed the double selection of experts and public, finishing in fifth place overall. The trio from Northern Sardinia will take part on September 3 in Bergamo in the final of the national contest "Cover me", dedicated to Bruce Springsteen.

Purely American country folk sounds for the trio made up of Aldo Gallizzi (vocals and guitar), Claudio Spanu (banjo) and Danilo Mura (double bass) who presented a very personal version of "I'm On fire", one of the horses of battle of the New Jersey Boss.

"The group was born in the period of the pandemic, on my idea, by Claudio Spanu and the violinist Andrea Scanu - says Aldo Gallizzi - initially it was an almost virtual project, with recording of audio and video parts each made at home (for via the lockdown) and then assembled and disseminated on the net. As the months went by and the restrictions closed, the project was shelved and each of us restarted our respective live activities with our own bands".

The project then resumed with the inclusion of the double bass player Danilo Mura and despite a niche musical genre, the Lazyboys filled the calendar with evenings. "The landing in the final of the contest dedicated to the Boss is a reward for our efforts and our stubbornness".
