A thousand participants from 50 different countries are expected in Cagliari for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Summer Week , a tourist-sporting event that will liven up the capital and other locations on the island from 14 to 22 September.
The event, organized by the Asd S'Animu association and now in its tenth edition, is now a regular fixture on the international circuit of the discipline.
Among the protagonists there will be world champions, numerous masters, many athletes and even a blind participant .
"Over ten years, the event has grown enormously, both in terms of attendance and prestige," explains ASD S'Animu president Daniele Pisu. "We've been working for months to ensure hospitality for everyone, involving accommodations, B&Bs, and guesthouses in the metropolitan area."
In addition to the competitions and seminars, the program includes a rich calendar of collateral events: from the Monte Mixi sports village to excursions into the hinterland, visits to local artisans, Sardinian cooking classes, tastings of typical products, and collaborations with agricultural and winemaking companies.
The heart of the event will be from September 17th with competitions, demonstrations and training sessions, until the highlight on September 20th with the eagerly awaited “Ocean” world stage.
