The Turin Book Fair in the sign of Sardinia, the host region in this thirty-fifth edition which already has large numbers as evidenced by the long queue of visitors, in the rain, at the entrance to the Lingotto.

Great success for the island from the first day of the event. To celebrate the island's publishing chain, the Region has delegated the production of the events to the Sardinia Film Commission Foundation. The island also showed its extraordinary food and wine richness in the setting of the Castello di Rivoli during the inaugural dinner of the Salone thanks to the chefs of Casa Coi di Baradili who presented a very original and unprecedented Sardinia, starting from local products.

«A great pride» – «We are happy to propose – declared councilor Andrea Biancareddu – many aspects of our identity and linguistic, historical and cultural tradition. We have authors and publishers of great value who have come to Turin for this extraordinary international showcase to be able to give our writers the opportunity to present their literary creations, it is a source of great pride».

The events – In the 150 square meters of the institutional stand of the Region, many events to make known, with the support of the Sardinian publishers association (Aes), the books of the island's authors and promote the most recent publishing productions, with the explicit mission of spreading knowledge involving all segments of the public. In line with this year's theme of the Salone is "Through the Looking Glass" , which takes its cue from Lewis Carroll's work dedicated to Alice's adventures in an upside down world. Great expectations for the national events with Marcello Fois, Gavino Murgia and Igort and for all the meetings of the dense program of the Sardinia Stand with about 10 daily appointments.
