From 16 to 18 December the first edition of the review called "Boghes e cannas", Voices and sounds of Sardinia, will take place in Maracalagonis.
The event is organized by the Ballu Tundu cultural association chaired by Maria Chiara Farci, with the contribution of the Tourism, Crafts and Commerce Department of the Sardinia Region and the Municipality of Maracalagonis. All this, in collaboration with the associations of Maracalagonis Nostra Sennor 'e Itri, Sant'Antonio, Sa Cedra, Martis de Agoa, Pro Loco Marese and the "Virgin of the Angels" Parish of Maracalagonis, aims to be a showcase of the most representative of our island , dragging guests into a party full of colors, music and memories.
On December 17th and 18th there will be a succession of tenor choirs, folk groups, carnival masks and ethnomusical groups that will involve the public in dancing in the square, all in the name of the most archaic musical traditions of Sardinia.
There will be the Tenor "Murales" from Orgosolo, the Tenores from Neoneli, the folk groups "Quartiere Villanova" from Cagliari and "Campidanesas" from the province of Oristano, the Popular Sardinian Orchestra and the ethnomusical groups "Nodìas" and "Cuncòrdias".
The historical re-enactment of the Marese engagement and marriage in the 1920s is scheduled . The occasion is tempting to show the public the result of a passionate and engaging study carried out by the cultural associations of Maracalagonis which will open a door into the past, also showing scenes and installations with extras, reproducing the wedding preparations.
There will also be a space dedicated to the little ones, on the morning of Friday 16, who will be able to approach popular musical traditions with a puppet show curated by "Le Compagnie del Cocomero" entitled "Those reeds tied by a blade of grass.. .launeddas”.
Emanuele Garau will present the event, while the artistic direction is entrusted to Orlando Mascia.
