In the midst of the cause for the separation from Ilary Blasi, a new tile falls on Francesco Totti.

And it's not sentimental in nature. In fact, Anti-Money Laundering has turned a light on the money of the former Roma captain. This was reported by the newspaper "La Verità", which cites three reports of suspicious transactions (sos) carried out as part of the control activity carried out by the central structures of the bank to which Totti has entrusted his earnings for years.

Many of the resources would have been invested in betting.

Under the lens there would be in particular a non-interest bearing loan of 80 thousand euros sent by Totti to a pensioner from Anzio. Account of the elderly woman jointly held with her daughter AM, employee of a company controlled by the Ministry of Economy. On the same day that Totti's payment arrives, AM transfers the money to the account shared with her husband, DM, and the latter transfers it to his own. DM works for the Viminale and is said to be a close friend of the former yellow and red star.

The anti-money laundering department speaks of an "opaque activity with counterparties operating in the online betting sector and a significant activity of transferring sums with direct withdrawals and wire transfers". The two spouses would also have shown an "evasive and non-cooperative" attitude.

Totti's name comes into play in June 2020, through the examination of two accounts (one jointly with Blasi and the other with Manuel Zubiria Furest, former team manager of Roma) and various suspicious transactions linked to the casinos of Montecarlo, London and Las Vegas.

For anti-money laundering there are "strong doubts" about the real destination of the money sent to the various international casinos. Totti, the risk managers explain, "reported that they were payments made for his days spent at the Montecarlo casino, as he was passionate about gambling". Therefore, the explanation of the former number 10, the continuous need for cash would be due to the fact that Totti is an avid gambler.
