Berardi returns and gets injured again: season over and no European Championships

Black year for Domenico Berardi. The Sassuolo striker, upon returning to Verona after months out, was injured again.
A ruptured Achilles tendon which will also cause him to miss this summer's European Championships.
In the second half of the match Berardi was rushing towards the yellow-blue goal when he collapsed, requiring medical intervention. He left the field in tears, supported by the Neroverdi staff and without touching his foot to the ground.
The first tests showed the rupture of the Achilles tendon. Sassuolo, second to last in the standings, will have to do without their best player until the end of the championship. And Luciano Spalletti will also have to do without him at the European Championships.
