After a weekend that opened with two defeats, Cagliari Beach Soccer concluded the Praia a Mare leg of the Serie A Scudetto Pool with a victory. The Rossoblù defeated Naxos BS 6-4, moving up to 9 points in the standings and into fifth place. The final two matchdays will be played on July 24th and 25th, deciding the standings and the teams that advance to the Final Eight.
Cagliari scored first in the first minute through Lucão, but Caique equalized in the fourth. Goalkeeper Eliott and Dmais scored in the first two minutes of the second half to make it 3-1. Puccio and Caique brought Naxos back to level terms in the sixth minute, but Eliott's second goal in the 12th minute made it 4-3. In the final period, after Caltabiano equalized in the second minute, the Rossoblù found the winning goals in the fifth minute through Lucão and in the seventh through Fantinato .
In the Praia a Mare match, Cagliari Beach Soccer lost 2-4 to Sambenedettese on Friday (now tied on points in the standings) and yesterday lost 3-4 to Napoli (fourth, one point ahead). They will conclude the regular season against WB Catania (Friday the 24th) and Icierre Lamezia (Saturday the 25th) .
