The Letta-Calenda agreement puts order on the subdivision of the six single-member constituencies (4 for the Chamber and 2 for the Senate) also in Sardinia. These are the hypotheses: four for the Dems and two for Action; three to the Dems, one to Action, one to the Democratic Center of Tabacci (allied with Di Maio's civic commitment) and one to Article 1 or Progressives .

There are twenty days left to the presentation of the slates scheduled for 21 and 22 August and in the parties it is a question of identifying the candidates for the 16 places in the running (11 in the Chamber and five in the Senate).

There are nine fewer than the current 25, so the battle for safe seats will be very tough. The variant that does not add up concerns Marco Meloni , the coordinator of the national secretariat who could run to Sardinia as leaders in the Chamber or the Senate.

In the first case, the outgoing Gavino Manca would have to take a step back, while the second on the list would remain Romina Mura in any case. If Meloni were a candidate for the Senate, it would be the former secretary Silvio Lai , whose prices as future leaders for Palazzo Madama are on the rise. There is also the possibility that Meloni is a candidate outside Sardinia, a solution that would cancel the troubles of the Democratic Party in one fell swoop.

The proportional situation is less complex for the other important parties.

The League should field the regional councilor Dario Giagoni in the Chamber and Carlo Doria in the Psd'Az share in the Senate, Forza Italia will certainly have its regional coordinator Ugo Cappellacci in the Chamber, Brothers of Italy will re-propose the outgoing Salvatore Deidda in the Chamber and probably the coordinator Antonella Zedda in the Senate. The M5S is ready to field Deputy Minister Alessandra Todde as head of the Chamber and the outgoing Ettore Licheri as head of the Senate.

On the names that will face each other in the colleges, the challenge in the Cagliari metropolitan city college for the Chamber could be interesting, where the vice president of the Region Alessandra Zedda and the former mayor of Cagliari Massimo Zedda or the outgoing deputy of the Democratic Party Andrea Frailis could run.

Zedda could also be the candidate in the South Sardinia college for the Senate. In the Nuoro Oristano college, the blue Pietro Pittalis could be a candidate for the Chamber, but also the director of FdI Francesco Mura , as well as the councilor for Transport Giorgio Todde . In the college of Sassari-Olbia-Alghero, the director of FI Angelo Cocciu and the councilor for the budget Giuseppe Fasolino are in the running. Possible the presence of Gavino Manca if he were not a candidate for the proportional, Desirè Manca for the M5S. In the Carbonia-Iglesias-Medio Campidano college, a centrist candidate chosen by mutual agreement with the UDC could run for the center-right, or the councilor for the Environment Gianni Lampis (Brothers of Italy); for the center left a representative of the Democratic Party or Action.
