Expected result and all in all also expected performance in Bologna: Virtus remains with full points in Italy, beating Dinamo 80-66. Too much technical and compactness gap between the two teams. The 16-1 break in the third quarter was decisive: from 22-28 for the blue and white to 38-29 for the home team. Tyree and Charalampopoulos are very inaccurate: 4/21 between them. Diop and Cappelletti did well, Treier and Whittaker did better, but there is still a lot of work to do.

Dinamo starts strong with Tyree and Whittaker: 0-6 after 2 minutes. From the time out Virtus comes out forcefully and with Smith's triples they seem to be able to go away (17-12 at 8') but two bombs from Kruslin give the first quarter to the blue and whites.

At the beginning of the second quarter it was also +6 for the Banco with two free throws from Treier, but Virtus used their physical strength inside the area (rebounds 16-7) and scored a 12-0 break which turned the match around. At the break Sassari trailed by 10 points.

Upon returning to the parquet, the blue and whites also end up at -12, they go upstream with pride but Kruslin misses the pass on the action that could have been worth -5 and Virtus shoots away: 64-50.

Dinamo doesn't give up, they also use the match up zone but Treier's triple of 68-60 in the 34th minute is the last gasp, Bologna regains altitude and makes it safe.
