No surprises at the end for the second round of the Fiba Europe Cup. Sassari is in group L with the French Cholet and Le Porte and with the Spanish team Bilbao.

Since the top two (out of four) of the group have progressed to the quarter-finals, it is clear that the opponents to beat are above all Le Portel and Bilbao, while Cholet is the favourite : top of the French league, where it has lost only one match (against Monaco) in seven rounds and dominated its group in the first phase of the European cup.

Le Portel, on the other hand, is twelfth in France with just 3 wins in 8 matches, while it came second in the group won by Estonians Kalev Cramo.

Bilbao is tenth, with 3 wins in 7 games, behind Saragossa of Marco Spissu from Sassari. They won their Europe Cup group with full points but objectively had modest opponents.
