A Banksy work auctioned in London for Ukraine was sold for 97 thousand euros. The Guardian reports it. The proceeds will go to Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in Kiev that treats children injured by the Russian occupiers.

The initial auction base was 24 thousand euros, which was then doubled due to the many expressions of interest. The 2005 painting, titled “CND Soldiers”, shows two soldiers painting the symbol of peace and nuclear disarmament on a wall.

The painting was auctioned by an anonymous donor via MyArtBroker.com who created the Banksy for UKraine online page for sale.

"The winner's donation will significantly change the lives of staff, children and their families in the coming weeks," said Charlotte Stewart, managing director of MyArtBroker.
