A festival centered on dance, research and experimentation. The body and its movement will be the protagonists of the 29th edition of Autumn Dance, which aims to create something innovative through exchanges, sharing and meetings between national and international artists. A rich calendar of productions and national premieres in Sardinia, precisely between Cagliari (Sa Illetta) and Nuoro (Teatro Eliseo Nuovo – TEN), which will take place from 8 September to 10 December. Fuorimmagine , fresh from the recognition of the Ministry of Culture and the Region of Sardinia as a production center of dance and performing arts of Sardinia , is once again the architect.

With the enthusiasm generated by this new institutional guise, it intensifies the work carried out on the Sardinian territory and presents a series of works produced following a residence in Sardinia and national and international projects that choose Autumn Danza to debut in Italy. Directed by Momi Falchi and Giulia Muroni, the festival therefore stands as a moment of restitution of a path of dialogue and meeting with the artists. As the artistic directors Falchi and Muroni write: «The meeting territories will find a final outcome in the productions of Cristina Kristal Rizzo and Simona Bertozzi , who have confronted themselves with dance and sound performers who work in Sardinia. In this sense, the productive investment aimed at children represents a novelty: Alice Ruggero and the TPO company articulate two creations that open up perceptive and performative possibilities for new spectatorship.

The care for emergencies also translates into the proposal of works by emerging artists such as Stefania Tansini, Giovanfrancesco Giannini, Marta Bellu and Marco D'Agostin. Assuming internationalism as a political trait to be affirmed, there are works that return gazes from different latitudes: Constanza Macras, Marie-Caroline Hominal, Arno Schuitemaker and Panzetti/Ticconi - of which Fuorimargine is one of the many international co-producers". This weekend the festival opens with the national premiere of Le Cirque Astéroïde by the Swiss artist Marie-Caroline Hominal (Friday 8 and repeat on Saturday 9 in Sa Illetta): a semi-trailer at the center of the scene, which becomes a stage, accompanies the performance of dancers.
