Sardinia takes the stage at the absolute Italian athletics championships, with a brace over 200 meters by Kaddari-Tortu . It was almost 21.30 when the sprinter from Quartese, in Molfetta, stopped the clock at 22”86 , beating the competition and bringing home the gold medal after the disappointment of the European championships.

Shortly after the encore of Filippo Tortu, the Sardinian-Brianzolo "oriundo" who towers over the half lap of the track, as he hasn't been seen in a long time: 20"14 , Italian title and angry exultation, with a ripped leotard (and a yellow card, negligible) that smacks of relief and rebirth after a difficult period.

Not the only medals of a great day for athletics on the island: in the high jump Eugenio Meloni takes home a brilliant bronze with 2.18 which brings him closer to his best condition (personal best is 2.21). Good sixth place also for Massimiliano Luiu , promising jumper born in 2002. In the shot put, seventh Elisa Pintus with 14.05, eighth Pamela Mannias with 13.67.
