Restrictions are coming for the sale of tickets to Sardinian fans for Atalanta-Cagliari, the match of the twenty-fifth day of Serie A scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 pm at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo. In all likelihood (the official decision is expected in the next few hours, in the evening) supporters residing on the Island should be able to purchase the ticket exclusively in the away sector of the stadium and only if they have a Fidelity Card.

The decision comes from the National Observatory on Sports Events and is certainly not the first of its kind in recent weeks in Serie A: there had been restrictions, to give a recent example, also for Lazio fans in the match played at Unipol Domus last Monday. In the first leg, last December 14, the prefect of Cagliari Giuseppe Castaldo had ordered a ban on ticket sales for residents of the province of Bergamo .

If it were to be confirmed, the limitation would leave Cagliari Calcio particularly bitter . The club of president Tommaso Giulini hoped that the away match would be open to everyone, as has already happened this season for example in Milan. In addition, as has been known for some time, the relations between the Cagliari and Atalanta fans are good.

In recent days, the rossoblù club has had contact with the authorities to try to unblock this situation, but the indications that are arriving are not positive : the attempts, barring surprises, will not have had the desired outcome. And, once again, the possibility for Sardinian fans to travel and attend their team's away matches will be limited.
