At the Town Hall of Sassari opera-symphonic concert with soprano Maria Grazia Schiavo

After the triumph with a truly successful edition of Verdi's "La Traviata", Maestro Stefano Ranzani closes the Sassari opera season with an opera-symphonic concert. On Wednesday at 20.30 the Town Hall hosts the soprano Maria Grazia Schiavo , called to replace the Nuorese tenor Piero Pretti who forfeited for health reasons.
Maria Grazia Schiavo is one of the main Italian opera singers. She has performed in the most prestigious Italian and foreign theaters. Riccardo Muti, who has directed her several times all over the world, has personally chosen her for the next Don Giovanni at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
The evening will be opened by the overture of the Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Mozart will still follow, with the aria "Non mi dir, bell'idol mio" from Don Giovanni . From Norma by Vincenzo Bellini the symphony and the well-known "Casta diva" are then scheduled.
The first part of the concert will close with the overture of Gateano Donizetti's Fille du régiment and, from the same opera, the aria “Il faut partir”. In the second part, Donizetti again, with "Regnava del silence" from Lucia di Lammermoor , before the prelude of the III act and the aria "Addio dal past" from Giuseppe Verdi's Traviata .
The closing of the program is in the sign of Giacomo Puccini with the interlude of Suor Angelica and Liù's aria, from Turandot , “Tu che di gel sei cinta”.
