Not only a novelist of class, but also a film enthusiast and critic. The book "Apnea. Scritti sul cinema" by Salvatore Mannuzzu , published by Angelica Editore, will be presented tomorrow at 6 pm at the Vecchio Mulino in Sassari. Sante Maurizi, who edited the preface, will talk with Alessandro Cadoni, editor of the work.
The volume collects a selection of Mannuzzu's writings, the result of almost fifty years of career, including articles, film reviews and interviews. In his first interventions on the films of the big screen Mannuzzu signed himself as Giuseppe Zuri, the pseudonym used as author of the novel "Un dodge a fari spenti". Among the contents, there are also the critical notes drawn up as a juror of the Franco Solinas Prize in 1986.
Mannuzzu describes cinema as an experience of “apnea”, a moment of immersion in a darkness that offers a sort of daily refuge .
The meeting is organized in collaboration with Koinè Libreria Internazionale and Festival Pensieri e Parole - Libri e film all'Asinara.
