At the gym in Cagliari: "I'm super excited, I hope it's a great season."
The new Rossoblu signing arrives on loan from Atalanta: he will be able to debut in NaplesMarco Palestra, the rossoblù's new signing, could have his first training session with Cagliari this afternoon.
The 2005-born full-back, signed on loan from Atalanta, landed at Elmas Airport at 2:40 PM on a flight from Fiumicino, after undergoing a medical in Rome this morning . "I'm super excited, I can't wait to get started: I'm really happy to be here," were his first words upon arrival, greeted by some fans who—as is tradition—presented him with a rossoblù scarf.
"I've had the chance to speak with the coach, and he's made a great impression on me. I haven't spoken with my teammates yet, but I already know some of them," said Palestra, who will soon be able to meet the squad awaiting the restart at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini. " The feeling is that it could be a great season. I've seen that the fans are fired up, and so am I. We'll try to perform well, game after game."
Palestra arrives on loan, with Atalanta insisting on not including a buyout clause. He will be eligible to make his debut on Saturday at 8:45 PM in Naples, in the early match of the second round of Serie A.
Having completed his purchase, Cagliari sporting director Guido Angelozzi is continuing to complete the defense: Bologna's Stefan Posch is the main name.
