The Cagliari Film Festival, a historic showcase of independent and arthouse films founded in 2014, is more than just cinema. The event features a concert by jazz pianist Alberto Pibiri on Sunday, August 31st, at 7:30 pm at Bibi - Spazio Eventi, at Via dei Genovesi 111.
Pibiri, a pianist from Cagliari, lives and works in New York . He trained in Italy and France. He then moved to New York, where he came into contact with the American jazz scene. He collaborates with Dave Stryker, Sheila Jordan, Enrico Granafei, Marco Panascia, Harry Allen, and many others. In 2016, he recorded his first album with Dave Stryker, titled NYC and produced by Strykezone Records. He performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall and embarked on a tour of Australia to play at the 2016 Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
After his second album, Jazz Legacy, he worked for the SRI Records label. The event is organized by the Tina Modotti cultural association and the Cagliari Film Festival, in collaboration with Bibi - Spazio Eventi .
