There is talk of acute infantile hepatitis in today's episode, Tuesday 10 May, of "15 minutes with ...", the in-depth talk on the health of the University hospital of Cagliari in collaboration with the Unione Sarda group, which will be broadcast on live at 5 pm on the social networks of the Aou of Cagliari (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube), on the website www.aoucagliari.it, on the Facebook page of L'Unione Sarda and on www.unionesarda.it.

With the professor we will clarify the acute hepatitis that affects the little ones. Currently, the World Health Organization counts 169 official cases, 17 transplants and one victim caused by this pathology of still unknown causes.
The country most affected is the United Kingdom with 114 cases, while in Italy there are 4 confirmed cases. The hospitalized children had all or some of the typical symptoms of hepatitis: jaundice, diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) says there is no clear correlation between reported cases and no clear epidemiological risk factors emerged between cases, as well as no association with travel.
