After kicking off in Sassari, on Thursday 12 June at 7pm, Aria Performing Art Festival, organised by Compagnia Senza Confini Di Pelle, is coming to Porto Torres for the first time.
Chico Mendes Park, with its breathtaking view of Balai beach, becomes the stage for the sparkling jazz and electronic notes of trumpeter Matteo Sedda in the concert “Euphoria” and for the magnetic dance show “Paesaggi sensibili” by dancer and performer Valentina Solinas.
Matteo Sedda is a trumpeter, composer, arranger and sound designer with important experiences and collaborations in Italy and France. He has played in some of the most prestigious music festivals. “Euphoria” combines timbre-acoustic and electronic research to give life to a fluid sound, in constant movement, in which different musical traditions converge. Valentina Solinas is a dancer, author and performer.
She trained at the schools of the Teatro Nuovo and Teatranzartedrama in Turin and with Raffaella Giordano, Roberto Castello, Giorgio Rossi, Emma Dante, Cristina Castrillo . She was recently awarded the VP-Sardinia 2025 Fund Prize for the performing arts in Salzburg. Matteo Sedda's concert will be the first of three concerts in Porto Torres, which enrich the 4th edition of the performing arts, theater and music festival directed by Dario La Stella and Valentina Solinas (Senza Confini Di Pelle), with the contribution of the Municipalities of Sassari, Ossi and Porto Torres and the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari (Bando Salude&Trigu).
After Chico Mendes Park, Aria will arrive in another symbolic place of the city , the Antiquarium Turritano, for the concert of the duo i Bosoni with “Bosonica” (27 June) and for that of Luca Morino, former frontman of Mau Mau, with his new solo album “De West” (10 July).
