With the ceremony dedicated to the awards of the Theater Groups, the curtain falls in Arborea on the first review dedicated to Ethnic Theater that saw the participation of eight groups, some of which also came from the peninsula, who from November 10 to 17 last trod the stage at the Teatro dei Salesiani. An event promoted by the Pro Loco that recorded the presence of a large audience and involved about a hundred actors on stage from groups and amateur dramatic companies that operate in Guspini, Lanusei, Norbello, Oristano and San Gavino. Actors also performed from Castelfranco Veneto and Villorba.
The president of Pro Loco Paolo Sanneris with the secretary Claudio Macchia, the mayor Manuela Pintus and the jury composed of Franco Cigagna, Rita Consolo and Franca Mugittu, to the theater companies present have attributed the ritual recognitions for having taken part in a review that opens new windows of opportunity. The objective of the event was to safeguard local idioms and contribute to the recovery of the values and traditions inherent in the cultural and also dialectal expressions of a people.
“A review - comments the president of Pro Loco Paolo Sanneris - that could not fail to take shape in Arborea, a land and multicultural community expression of different ethnic groups. This is a moment to reflect on how important it is to keep our traditions alive, but also to look to the future with hope and determination. Our cultural heritage is not only a link with the past, but also a source of inspiration for the future. The Review offered the public a rich and varied program, composed of eight shows that the jury examined, issuing a judgment where the notable activity developed by the participants is noted. All in the name of quality and fun”.
