The investigation into the appointments in the Region risks costing the trial for the governor Christian Solinas, his head of cabinet Maria Grazia Vivarelli and the councilor for General Affairs Valeria Satta.
The Public Prosecutor of Cagliari has asked for indictment for all: Solinas is accused of abuse of office, Satta of abuse of office and attempted extortion, Vivarelli, of abuse of office and undue induction. The story concerns the positions of director general of the presidency of the Region and of the Regional Civil Protection entrusted in June 2019 to the lawyer Silvia Curto and to the engineer Antonio Pasquale Belloi.
Initiative taken, according to the prosecutor Andrea Vacca and the Guardia di Finanza of Cagliari, in the absence of the necessary qualifications for the chosen ones and after presumed pressure on who had to guarantee the legitimacy of the decision: the general director of personnel. The investigation was closed a year ago.
Vivarelli allegedly pushed the chief executive to oppose signing the deed of legitimacy for Belloi's appointment; Satta would try to convince him later with insistent pressure to put the initials in an identical document.
