Antonio Conte returns to the Premier League.

Tottenham chose the former Inter coach of Italy champions after having sacked Nuno Espirito Santo following a 3-0 home defeat against Manchester United last Saturday.

The official announcement arrived on the social channels of the London club.

The Salento coach has signed until 2023 with the option to further extend the adventure.

Free after the termination with Inter and having won the championship with the Nerazzurri, Conte had already been in the Premier League where he coached and triumphed on the Chelsea bench.

"I am extremely happy to return to coaching and to do so in a Premier League club that has the ambition to be protagonist again - Antonio Conte's first words as a Tottenham manager -. Tottenham has state-of-the-art facilities and one of the best stadiums in the world. I can't wait to start working to convey to the team and the fans the passion, mentality and determination that have always distinguished me, as a player and as a coach. "

"We didn't sign last summer because the end of my relationship with Inter was still too recent and I was still emotionally involved, I felt it wasn't the right time to go back to coaching yet - explains Conte -, but contagious enthusiasm and Daniel Levy's determination to entrust me with this task had already hit the mark. Now that the opportunity has returned, I have chosen to take it with great conviction ".

At Tottenham he finds Fabio Paratici who won at Juventus with him: "We are pleased to welcome Antonio to the club. His CV speaks for itself - explained Paratici -, he has great experience and has won trophies both in Italy and in England. Having worked with him at Juventus, I know firsthand the qualities that Antonio can bring to us. I can't wait to see him at work leading our talented group of players. "
