The musical activity of the Cagliari Opera House continues successfully with the review "An Island of Music 2022" .

The Lirico orchestra, conducted by Fabrizio Ruggero, after Carbonia, Selargius and Sinnai will be the protagonist today, at 6 pm, at the Si 'e Boi Theater in Selargius, Friday 11 at 8.30 pm at the Grazia Deledda Theater in Paulilatino and Saturday 12 at 8.30 pm at the Theater Maria Carta of Elmas.

On the program, after one of Mozart's most famous serenades, a rare and precious pearl of eighteenth-century musical classicism: “Il maestro di cappella”. The famous one-act comic interlude, composed by Domenico Cimarosa between 1786 and 1793, is based on a libretto by an unknown author. The protagonist of the monologue, polite satire of the eighteenth-century theatrical environment, through the parody of the role of the choirmaster, is the brilliant Friulian baritone Filippo Fontana, already known to the Cagliari public.

Next week it will be the turn of maestro Andrea Solinas who will direct the orchestra of the Lyric in two famous Symphonies by Schubert and Mozart: Friday 18 March at 8.30 pm at the Central Theater of Carbonia and Saturday 19 March, again at 20.30, at the Teatro Si 'e Boi of Selargius.

The shows have a total duration of approximately 60 minutes and do not include intermission.
