Amsicora unleashed, Ferrini knocked out in the derby

With the first matchday of the men's Elite Serie A, the first clear signs are already there. One impressive one came from Amsicora, who won the opening derby against Ferrini 6-2. It was a high-level performance, with fast-paced play, a fast-moving ball, and players who found each other by heart. And four key additions, from forwards Sinkevicius, who scored four goals, to Germany's Bernstein, Italy's Amorosini, and Egypt's Labdo. The fifth player, another Egyptian, Gadelkarim, will have to wait due to injury. Ferrini held firm and responded in the first half, then collapsed, but against the Amsicora team they faced on Saturday at the "Maxia" it would have been difficult for anyone.

The score was broken in the second half, when Filippi crossed from the backline and Sinkevicius beat Sorrentino, who had excelled on two previous occasions. Shortly thereafter, the Lithuanian doubled the lead from a short shot, then made it three with the opposing defense standing by. Atzori then struck a brilliant goal, creating a solo run from the backline to score the fourth goal. After halftime, Sinkevicius became the assist-man, setting up Bernstein's goal. In the final half, Ferrini closed the gap with Fois, then Atzori fed Bernstein, who returned the favor and set up the Lithuanian for his fourth. Ferrini scored the second goal with Gamal from the penalty spot.

HT Sardegna also conceded six goals in a demanding away match in Brà against the Italian champions, who won 6-1. Their Elite debut couldn't have been more challenging. Brà made short shots work, scoring five goals, while HT Sardegna took five ineffectual shots and hit the crossbar twice. The score was broken late in the first half, Brà doubled their lead in the second quarter, and after halftime they ran riot. After conceding the fourth goal, the Sardinian team closed the gap with Drago.

In their first matchday of the men's Serie A1, CUS Cagliari was defeated 4-2 in Reggio Emilia by Città del Tricolore, a team relegated from the Elite division. Ragab Abdalla and Sanna scored. Juvenilia Uras-San Giorgio has been postponed to November 21.
