The first official press conference of the legislature by Alessandra Todde is entrusted to the Labor councilor Desirè Manca , who presented "So.La.Re", a measure to support employment in the tourism sector .
In essence it is the same measure that with Solinas was called "Destinazione Sardegna Lavoro", with some new features.
The name first and foremost: «A sunny name, which inspires more trust», ironically Manca. Then the subdivision. There are 37.8 million euros available to companies in the supply chain for 2024 (20 million from ESF funds, the remaining regional) divided into two categories: large companies, to which 4 million are allocated, medium, small and micro businesses to which the largest portion is destined, 33.8 million . The objective is to create 15 thousand jobs for under 35s, unemployed people and women, covering between 30% and 40% of the expenses incurred by companies.
Manca underlines the "political" choice to "give more attention to small businesses, which are usually Sardinian ones" . Another novelty is the timing, «the 2024 notice will be published by May to facilitate operators, not at the end of the season as in previous measures».
Changes also to the ceilings , to be able to grant financing to more companies: 300 thousand for large ones and a maximum of 150 thousand for others, also because " in the past the percentage of companies financed in relation to applicants was only 38% ". The months of coverage of the incentive also change: for small businesses the entire period between March and December will be recognized, for large operators the period excludes the months of July and August .
All changes aimed at « lending a helping hand to the most fragile Sardinian companies, to all those companies that in recent years have not managed to obtain financial support, and for which receiving help aimed at hiring staff can really make the difference » .
Click day remains, a knot that Manca wants to untie. She had fought as a councilor by denouncing the critical issues, but for the moment it will continue to be the method used: "If we manage to identify a valid alternative we will follow it."
In the press conference Manca also announced a "new beginning" and denounced "the state of affairs found in this department, a disastrous situation of unspent European and regional funds and delays ". Things which, he promised, will be told in an upcoming press conference.
