"Dear Union,

The passengers of the 19.05 Alitalia flight departing from Linate for Cagliari, today, the last day before the 'departure' of the Italian flag carrier, have been mocked. Canceled without even a notice to those who had purchased the ticket who were able to regularly check-in online and, having presented themselves at the Milanese airport, they had the bitter surprise looking at the boards: CANCELED. No possibility of leaving Linate, panic for those who had appointments the next day, running in search of a ticket to Sardinia.
Alternative, take it or leave it, Bergamo: Ryanair does offer a seat, but at 459 euros without luggage and if you check-in at the counter it takes another 20 euros.
But what choice does someone who needs to go to Cagliari for work, personal commitments and not on vacation have? Maybe an Easy jet from Malpensa, tomorrow morning at 6.30. This means returning home from Linate (or to the hotel for those who don't live here), getting up at 4.30 and arriving just in time to board at 6.
Who to thank for all these inconveniences suffered by those who imagined that by buying a ticket, even on the day of the last Alitalia flights, with even the boarding pass in hand, they would have their flight canceled without even a message? We thank Alitalia that no longer exists? Our government? The regional government that has not been able to prevent this void in the passage from one company to another, preventing even the most prudent from avoiding buying a ticket with a dying company without another one ready to take its place? And who will refund these tickets?
We are a shame. Sardinia so isolated, penalized, mistreated and abandoned by everyone. We are third world. I'm ashamed of being Sardinian ".
