Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl and Uiltrasporti have signed the agreement which provides for the application of solidarity contracts for workers at Alghero airport .

This was announced by Michele Palenzona (Fit-Cisl Assistant General Secretary) and Gianluca Langiu (Fit-Cisl Regional Air Transport Coordinator).

The agreement will concern 227 permanent employees of the Sardinian airport, who will have an average reduction of 30% of work performance with the commitment, in the event that traffic volumes are growing, to further increase working hours.

«The workers involved - Langiu and Palenzona let us know - will mainly be the administrative ones without the exclusion of the operatives in the seasonal shoulder periods. Verifications by the RSA are foreseen ».

By 31 March, the company and the unions will have to define the new shift arrangements «to ensure a better working life for employees, we will also talk about holidays and classifications. With the signing this morning - conclude the two representatives of the Fit cisl - a piece is placed for the safeguarding of employment in the Algherese airport for which there must be a greater political commitment for the promotion of the territory, without which it will be difficult to increase traffic volumes in a structural way. The property must also do its part, investing in the airport according to the model of other airports where it is present, to guarantee full-scale work for everyone within the timescales envisaged by the duration of the CdS».
