Alex Zanardi returns to his home in Noventa Padovana. The champion had been hospitalized at San Bortolo in Vicenza after a fire damaged the machinery necessary for the home care he needed following a serious accident in 2020 during a handbike race .

At the beginning of August the fire, which started from the photovoltaic system, had forced him to move to the health facility but again at San Bortolo it was last year, in April 2021. Then he returned to his family for Christmas and finally in January 2022. Rehabilitation treatments follow the accident that took place in Val d'Orcia: with his handbike Zanardi had ended up against a truck in the Sienese area.

His wife and son have always assisted him, he makes progress but very slowly. Yet the force has never abandoned him. Now, returning home after 76 days, the champion will always be surrounded by the great affection of the family.
