Monday 22 January marks the 133rd anniversary of the birth of Antonio Gramsci . For this important anniversary, his town dedicates the ceremonial event “Happy Birthday Antonio” to him. The initiative, promoted by the Antonio Gramsci Birthplace Cultural Association, will take place at 6pm in the same birthplace of the thinker from Alero. During the event, the new announcement for the 19th edition of the literary prize dedicated to him will be presented. The prize - as highlighted by the association itself - has been active since 1991 and in addition to being one of the most important opportunities in Italy to disseminate Gramscian thought, it is also the pinnacle of a cultural garrison, active in the country throughout the year.

The tender will be announced in the presence of the jury, composed of Ester Cois, Lea Durante, Sandro Dessì, Gianni Loy Roberto Scema, Laura Stochino, Ilenia Zedda, Mauro Tetti. During the evening , Alberto Capitta's new novel, “La tesina di SV” , published by Maestrale Nuoro, will also be presented.

The author will dialogue with the writer Mauro Tetti . The protagonist of the novel is the high school student SV, who gets lost beyond the net of a suburban pitch, looking for the ball. The journey therefore begins by simple chance, not by choice.
