The event was promoted by AP, Cobas and Usb, and open to the participation of all workers and all trade unions, who as never before are now jointly trying to save the fate of the more than 1,300 former employees on whom the dismissal notice is burdened. by the liquidators of the airline starting from 2 January, following the conclusion of an unsuccessful dispute.
Despite the discouragement and the different geographical location in several parts of Italy, the workers joined the trade union appeal in a limited number but with determination. Among them also some political exponents of the territory, such as the regional councilor of the 5-star Movement, Roberto Li Gioi.
"The main road to follow now is the creation of a complex crisis area that includes the entire air transport system of the country, which has about 45 thousand professional units - said Li Gioi - guaranteeing them income support for at least three years. , a suitable period for the possible birth of a new industrial project, the only possible reality for the relocation of Air Italy employees ".
