The countdown does not stop for the definitive cancellation of Air Italy and the 1,400 jobs that remain clinging to the redundancy fund until 31 December .
The Sardinian-Qatari airline in liquidation has summoned trade union representatives for Thursday for a meeting during which they will be informed of the start of the collective dismissal procedure held so far on stand by.
For former Meridiana employees it will be difficult to obtain a further extension of the layoffs after December 31st, and their relocation under the nascent Ita company appears even more difficult.
The hypothesis remains, for now nothing more, to find a place in the eventual regional airline, on whose creation the president of the Sardinia Region, Christian Solinas, has announced that he has started a dialogue with the Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
