The service for facilitated flights between Rome and Milan and the three Sardinian airports - with public service obligations - is worth 37 million euros, which will be entrusted for the next seven months by the Sardinia Region with an urgent procedure whose applications must arrive by Wednesday September 29th at 1pm.
The Region has made it known that the airlines operating nationally invited to submit bids for the assignment of the service in the agreement of the air connections in the three airports of Sardinia are twelve.
Tenders will be assessed from a technical and economic point of view route by route and the assignments will be specific to each of them.
The current air territorial continuity, in fact, will expire with the start of the winter aviation season which also coincides with the farewell to Alitalia flights - the current contractor of the service - and the birth of Ita .
After the extension of the public service obligations by the Ministry of Infrastructures and Sustainable Development, now the Region must prepare the calls for the connections between Alghero, Cagliari and Olbia and the national hubs of Rome and Milan: a tender for a service of the duration of a two-year period that is worth 46 million euros per year gross of the auction base.
