The Aidda award, the association of women entrepreneurs, dedicated to female figures who have distinguished themselves in the fields of art, culture, science, entrepreneurship and the social sector, was awarded to Mariantonia Urru, a textile entrepreneur from Samugheo.
Her art, which combines tradition and modernity, was born from a passion inherited from her mother when she was still a teenager. In his country of origin he then founded, in 1981, the company that bears his name and which has grown and established itself in the textile crafts sector.

'sign of eco-sustainability and originality ". Sgaravatti also underlines the collaborations with creatives, stylists (one above all Antonio Marras), designers and engineers, also achieved thanks to the work of the entrepreneur's children and who have made the Mariantonia Urru brand recognizable and appreciated in international contexts.
"We have chosen to award her this recognition also because thanks to her hard work - concludes President Aidda - the typical Sardinian processing techniques in Pibiones, Lizzos and Orbace have found a place in the installations and furnishings of prestigious villas and hotels from the United States to the 'Australia".
