Agriculture, in Sardinia 10 million euros of refreshments for the natural disasters of August 2022
Nearly 250 companies are affected with damage exceeding 30% of total production
For the damage caused by the natural disasters that struck Sardinia in August 2022, the Regional Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture, Valeria Satta, approved the Resolution for the recognition of refreshments to farms .
The ascertained damages amount to a total of approximately 9 million and 700 thousand euros , involving almost 250 companies with damages exceeding 30% of total production .
"Due to the serious adverse weather conditions that hit our farmers and breeders during the month of August 2022 - underlined Councilor Satta - the nature of exceptional adverse weather conditions was recognized which mainly, but not only, affected the horticultural sector in the open field and in protected cultivation, artichoke, fruit, wine, citrus, olive, flower, cereal and forage nursery. Now, after certifying that these areas have really been affected, I will proceed very closely to start the further activities necessary to repair the damage suffered by our producers".
Among the most affected areas the Campidano of Cagliari, the Trexenta, the Parteolla, the Sarcidano, the Gallura, Nuorese, Baronia, Romangia Sassarese, Monteacuto, the Capoterrese and the Municipalities belonging to the Coros.
