A report that describes the state of crisis in the agricultural sector , the actions carried out and the possible solutions that could be considered to accompany a change long awaited by tens of thousands of entrepreneurs. This is what Confagricoltura Sardegna and its four inter-provincial Unions (Cagliari, Oristano, Nuoro-Ogliastra, Sassari Olbia-Tempio) delivered to the Prefects operating at a regional level .

A document already presented, for the first time, on 26 February in Brussels , to the European Commission and to Minister Lollobrigida: twelve pages summarizing an analysis of the critical issues affecting agricultural macro-themes and possible solutions, the result of weeks of comparisons in the territories with companies and technicians, agronomists and veterinarians who work in the primary production sector every day.

The topics addressed in the report, which contextualizes the current situation within the major international crises by highlighting the serious consequences caused by the delay in the payment of agricultural premiums, range from the need to review the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), with attention to the peculiarities of the business fabric present in Sardinia, to a review of governance starting from the organizational structure of the three regional agencies (Laore, Agris and Argea) and the Agriculture Department.

The report also highlights the opposition of Confagricoltura , which was successful within the Commission, towards the supplementary nutritional labeling system (Nutriscore) , which wanted to impose the inclusion of a code capable of specifying values different from the present mandatory nutritional declaration on food labels. Confagricoltura also turned to the Antitrust to defend the Mediterranean Diet , reporting a French label that could create confusion among consumers. The findings formulated by the agricultural organization were deemed valid with a sentence. Confagricoltura then intervened at the EU level with various proposals ranging from regulation on the use of packaging to the reduction of pesticides , through the revision of the rules on industrial emissions and those for the restoration of degraded ecosystems, so as to improve food safety by reaching the European objectives on climate and biodiversity.

Going into more detail about the critical issues affecting Sardinia, the document dealt with water management and its best valorisation, but also with the problem of hydrogeological instability ; just as he addressed the unavoidable planning on wildlife management, which has now become an out-of-control plague in the agricultural production of various areas of the island. The themes of territorial continuity on goods and the energy revolution, which is of great interest to the Sardinian countryside, were then analysed. Driven by the indispensable technological innovation, a passage dedicated to agriculture 4.0 and the numerous development possibilities that can guarantee companies the possibility of bringing together tradition and new knowledge could not be missing.
